In the Unit 2, Our group’s place was Kentish town. During the group works we could share all of our information and opinions. It was the best way for a successful project.
At the first meeting some peers already had been to Kentish town and they took the pictures of it. We could get basic understanding of what it is. It guided us to make a start and we divided the parts for the research- gallery, green space, Library, architectural significance and shops.
Before visiting the place, I started to research what the specific things are in Kentish town. We could find lots of website about London and what happen in it. In general way of information I got them from website. My part was the gallery and I found two galleries at Kentish town. But I also wanted to know the history and buildings of place so I tried to find some books about London. I found contemporary architecture in Kentish town as well. I believe this basic resource made a game which can gave information about that town.
After everyone researched their part, we chose things which were interesting for us and went to Kentish town together. It was my first time to visit there and after visiting I could understand the atmosphere of Kentish town. We visited every place which we found in our research, and we also found other interesting places. We made a mind map of the project. It helped us to check what we need to do for next meeting.
After we got information of places we started to make route and clue. Something was added and some of them deleted because of route. When we made the clues it was hard to understand for me what “Scavenger hurt” is. But we worked as a group and it helped me to understand it clearly. Finally other peers went to there to check the time. It was nice try because we found problem of route and found solutions as well.
I think our group knew ways to make the group work better and did it. It made our group work organised very well.
If I was to do it again, I want to know history about this place. I could not find why this place is called Kentish town, what kinds of things are famous and why tutor chose this place among many other places. Also I want to add things can make the game more exciting and fun.
